Who we are seeking

Muay Thai Instructor

PART TIME

Toronto, ON – Studio Santai

Our mission is to make real, authentic Muay Thai available to all people, breaking down traditional intimidation barriers by offering genuine, high-level martial arts in an inclusive, beginner-friendly, and welcoming environment.

Our goal is simple: every member should leave class stronger, happier and better at Muay Thai. If you are passionate about sharing authentic Muay Thai with humility, patience, and a “student-first” mindset, we want to meet you.

Pay Range

  • •Up to $35 / hr for Group Class

Commensurate with experience. Separate rates for Private Training and Admin (for opening, closing, and cleaning duties).

Shifts Available

Weekday mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities

  • •Studio Prep: Arrive early to set up the floor and equipment before members arrive.
  • •Member Engagement: Greet members warmly and assist with "first-day" needs (e.g., teaching hand-wrapping, answering class questions).
  • •Class Leadership: Lead or support group classes involving warm-ups, strength & conditioning, and technical pad/bag work.
  • •Personal Training: Conduct scheduled 1:1 or 1:3 private training sessions.
  • •Operational Excellence: Follow gym procedures to ensure the space is clean and secure for the next day.

Required Skills & Experience

  • •Authentic Muay Thai Practice: Minimum of 5 years of authentic Muay Thai training.
  • •Ring Experience: At least one amateur fight experience.
  • •Instructional Experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven experience running or supporting martial arts classes.
  • •Emergency First Aid Certified: All Instructors must have Emergency First Aid certification through a nationally or provincially recognized organization OR must be willing to get one prior to starting.

Assets (Nice-to-Haves)

  • •Able to work early morning (7am shifts).
  • •Experience leading kids programs.
  • •Strong skills in clinch fighting.
